Title: The looking glass of Diversity—Don’t like what you see? Here’s how to improve your view.
It’s a poor Expert that finds fault with their tools. Tools and skills alone don’t make the expert. A combination of quality tools and experienced skill results in an Expert who produces superior results. As Talent Acquisition professionals we should all be seeking to produce superior results. We should not be afraid to use quality tools combined with our experience. Our objectives in today’s market is to create a more diverse and inclusive recruiting process to attract, screen, and hire the best and most diverse talent.
There are a few areas we need to focus on to improve our set of experienced skills and quality tools we use to accomplish this, including:
-
-
-
- Leader 360 reviews and unconscious bias braining
- Deliberate recruiting process to eliminate bias
- Track progress
-
-
During this session, Senior Diversity Practitioner, Stephanie Wemusa, will share the importance of conducting 360 reviews from the top down to identify potential bias roadblocks. She’ll lay out a clear diversity recruiting process to ensure bias is mitigated. Lastly, she’ll demonstrate the importance of data gathering and measuring progress. The clarity of diversity looking glass improves with as we understand our roadblocks, plan clear processes and gather data to review the results and see where improvements still need to be made. Remember, it’s not the tools or the skills by themselves but the combination that creates exceptional outcomes for any Expert. Don’t miss this session.
